Project Expose;

"What began as an idea has sparked into a collaboration between DELL and featuring recent graduates aspiring to break into the fashion industry. After many rounds of endless conversations, heartache and coffee-runs, Project Expose was created that is basically fashion that’s amplified by attitude.
So here’s the breakdown: running through from the months of May through to July, embarking on a collaborative project like none other, 3 teams of 6 stylists will come together producing 7 sets of photographs each week that flaunts their attitude. Henceforth, photos will be uploaded here daily for the public to “Like”, comment and share. And here comes the best part, the photo set that gets the most “likes” will walk away with the new DELL XPS 15, complimenting the attitude of that of the winning styling team."

This competition hosted by ActuallyMag and Dell has presented me an opportunity to try my hand at one of the things i've always wanted to do; fashion styling. The different outfits i styled are like the different sides of me, influenced by various personal interests. Some are more fun and quirky than the others, some darker, tougher. But they all can represent who and what i am as both a person, and a fashion enthusiast.
So here's a preview from each outfit i styled. There are a few more that aren't posted yet so stay tuned to this space for updates!

 Awesome photography by: Ryden Tan & Freda Seto who graduated from Temasek Poly! Will credit them again properly once they've given me the links to their portfolios. Til then, more pics will be on the way. {;

Well hopefully the pictures explains me being M.I.A here. No, sorry guys, haven't given up on blogging yet, yeap, pay up. AND, i've actually been up to some stuffs lately which I couldn't wait to share once everything's been done and confirmed. So nope i haven't just been 'busy working' at my part-time jobs or simply just lazy. I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE SOME PRODUCTIVE THINGS. =O

To cut the story short, i went for an interview for a full-time job at a local multi-label store called Actually Actually, and the boss suggested i try my hands out at styling outfits for photoshoots for Projectexpose.tumblr.com. (sneak peek coming up in next post!) I was psychhhed. I have been waiting & trying for chances like this and was losing hope, until then. So i got my girlfr to help, churning out ideas, loaning stuffs from stores, buying props, D.I.Y-ing some of my own stuffs for the shoot, dressing up my models, and also modelling some of the outfits myself. The whole process was a liberating experience from the stagnant retail-job-life i was stuck with.

Also, I finally stopped procrastinating and d.i.y-ed my denim jacket and shorts and a handful of other stuffs which i had wanted to do long ago but never did because "I don't have this.." or "I'll do it when I have money to buy those stuff" and "i'm tired, maybe tmr." Yeap, serious procrastination. Anyway, my efforts paid off when i get compliments and even a couple of offers to buy this d.i.y service from me!

And one more small break that happened to me recently, was being approached by a young gentleman by the name of Gabriel, owner of an awesome, breath-taking street-fashion blog that's based in UK, Norwich, FASHIONNIER. Many of you probably have not heard of this blog only because it's still a baby, having started only in December last year so please, go check it out and feast your eyes out and have your chest tighten so you have to gasp for air 'cuz you'd be hyperventilating from the overwhelming sheer beauty of both the photography and the street-fashion in Norwich. No exaggeration. Go. FASHIONNIER.TUMBLR.COM

I am very, very, grateful for these small opportunities that have almost seemingly came from nowhere, and landed on my doorsteps. I grasped them before some mean wind blew them away out of reach while i procrastinate out of fear of failure like i usually do, which i didn't this time, and for that i guess i'm pretty proud of myself.
For now i'm just gonna keep doing what i can, to keep doing what i love.
